Amid the global acceleration toward electrification, the North American EV market is entering a new growth cycle. The National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program, led by the U.S. government and implemented by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is injecting $5 billion to build a nationwide high-power DC fast charging network along major highways.
To comply with NEVI requirements, EV charging infrastructure must meet:
At least 4 DC fast charging ports per station
Minimum 150kW output per charger
Support for CCS1 connectors, with future compatibility for NACS (SAE J3400)
≥97% uptime with real-time connectivity
Compliance with “Buy America” localization requirements
Against this backdrop, Tonhe presented a portfolio of NEVI-compliant EV charging power modules and energy storage solutions, supporting the upgrade of North America’s charging ecosystem with proven, reliable technologies.
